Recently I discovered Reginald – which is a competition for soft portraits put on by the Center for Adult Education in Melbourne, Australia (Hi Sue! And can I just say, sign me up for every single class you offer, please!). This is so up my alley – I always feel like I got into portrait plush quite by accident (or, because it’s possible that in any medium you will find that people eventually request something specific, often to look like them), so it’s always nice to know that so many other artists love working this way. The contest was only open to Australian residents and is closed now – but check out the portrait gallery for some really amazing, beautifully detailed pieces. Such a great way for plush artists to be showcased!
